Goat Funded Trader Overview

Goat Funded Trader launched in 2023, and the company is registered and headquartered in Hong Kong.

It looks to position itself as a bridge between retail trading and professional-style capital access by providing skilled traders with access to large simulated accounts and an impressive amount of choices when it comes to account sizes and instrument selection.

Goat Funded Trader currently offers two separate solutions, the main service focused on forex trading, and the Goat Funded Futures service focused on futures trading, and we’ll cover both of the offers separately today.

Forex Pricing & Account Models

As soon as you scroll down on the homepage and see the amount of choices you have when it comes to different plans and account sizes, you understand why the biggest advantage Goat Funded Trader has over the majority of firms in this trading space lies in the flexibility it offers to traders.

The company currently has 1-step, 2-step, 3-step and Instant funding account options, with a range of sizes going from as low as $2.5k to $400k.

The 1-Step model features account sizes from $15k to $200k, with the smallest plan costing $107 and the largest plan costing $659. Regardless of the account size, the goals are the same.

Traders need to reach a 10% profit target while staying within a 4% daily drawdown and 6% static maximum overall loss limit.

The 2-Step model is in line with the more traditional proprietary trading evaluation structure. Account sizes go from $5k to $200k, and the price ranges from $17 to $437, making this the most affordable path.

In the Standard version, traders need to reach a 10% profit target in Phase 1 and a 5% target in Phase 2, while staying within a 5% maximum daily loss and 10% maximum overall loss.

The Pro version changes the profit target to 8% in Phase 1 and 4% in Phase 2, with a 4% maximum daily loss and 8% maximum loss.

The GOAT version has a plan limit of up to $150k, while profit target remains at 8% in Phase 1, while Phase 2 requires a 6% profit target. Maximum daily loss is set at 4%, while maximum loss is at 10%.

The 3-Step model is built for traders who prefer lower profit targets spread across more evaluation phases.

The profit target remains at 6% throughout all three phases, while the maximum daily loss is 4% and the maximum overall loss is 8%.

Lastly, you have the Instant model, which completely skips the evaluation process, but comes with stricter payout rules and tighter requirements.

The GOAT model features account sizes ranging from $5k to $400k, with the max daily loss set at 3% and the maximum loss at 6%.

There is also a PRO model, with account sizes from $2.5k to $100k, and a maximum total loss at 4%, with no maximum daily loss limits.

Regardless of the plan of your choice, you can trade with up to 100:1 in leverage, and have a 80% profit split, which can be upgraded to 100% via an optional add-on purchase.

Futures Pricing & Account Models

This is a fully built-up product separate from the main Forex site, with its own set of rules, account types and a trading environment focused solely on futures contract trading.

Goat Funded Futures gives traders a separate way to trade futures contracts through EOD, Sprint, Instant, and Pro plans.

The EOD plan is the most similar to other products in this trading space, and is the most straightforward option available.

It starts with a $50,000 account for $50, with a $3,000 profit target, no daily drawdown, a $2,000 maximum drawdown, and no activation fee.

The Sprint plan is a faster option, also featuring a one-phase structure and a 6% profit target for the smallest account size of $25k. This plan uses an intraday trailing drawdown instead of the end-of-day drawdown. It also features no daily loss limits, and payouts are available after five days.

The Instant plan skips the evaluation stage, but it naturally comes with much stricter rules. It features a 20% consistency rule across all account sizes, and payouts are done every 7 winning days.

Resets are not available on Instant accounts, so traders need to be more careful with risk from the start.

The Pro plan is the premium evaluation route and is built for traders who want a more flexible rule set after passing. It uses a one-phase evaluation with a 6% profit target, and a 50% consistency rule during the evaluation phase, which is removed when you get to a funded account.

The profit targets are $3,000, $6,000, and $9,000 depending on the account size of your choice, while the maximum drawdown is 4% across all accounts.

Goat Funded Futures supports major futures markets across CME, CBOT, COMEX, and NYMEX, including E-mini S&P 500, Micro S&P 500, E-mini Nasdaq 100, Micro Nasdaq 100, Russell 2000, Bitcoin futures, Micro Bitcoin futures, Micro Ether futures, and currency futures.

The firm also uses a different payout split structure from its Forex offer, as you keep 100% of the first $10,000 in rewards, while afterwards you keep 90% of all profits.

Trading Platforms

Goat Funded Trader also features a great selection of trading platforms, with separate selections for their Forex and Futures offers.

On the Forex site, it supports the most advanced and popular platforms like MetaTrader 5 and cTrader, while also offering access to TradeLocker and Volumetric Trading platforms.

This is one of the most comprehensive lineups available to prop traders today, and caters to practically all trading styles and levels of technical knowledge and experience.

The Futures offer uses a different setup. Goat Funded Futures lists DxFeed and CQG Data Feed as data-feed options, which allow you premium access to different trading platforms at no extra cost.

With the DxFeed setup, you have five different platforms, namely Volumetrica Trading, Deep Map, Deepcharts, ATAS and Quantower.

With the CQG Data Feed, you get access to Tradovate and Ninjatrader platforms.

The site also features free TradingView integration.

All in all, you get plenty of choices on both of the company’s sites.

Deposit and Withdrawal Methods

Goat Funded Traders supports a solid number of payment options, but keep in mind that some of the methods depend on your location.

On the Forex side, you can pay with standard credit cards and debit cards, as well as through PayPal and crypto wallets.

When it comes to payouts, the most commonly used methods are through crypto, with stablecoins such as USDT and USDC being your safest bet regardless of your location.

Just keep in mind to check exactly what options are available to you before purchasing an account, so you make sure that you can pay and receive payouts in your preferred option.

Customer Experience & User Sentiment

One of the firm’s strongest suits definitely lies in the overall quality of its websites. Not only are they easy to use and navigate, but are also full of educational content and materials.

There is a dedicated FAQ section that answers all the most common questions traders have, or you can alternatively chat with the company’s GOAT bot AI agent, which can be extremely helpful for more in-depth questions.

The Futures site has its own customer support setup, along with its own FAQ section, and you can also join the trader communities on Discord, or reach out via social media apps like Instagram and X.

When it comes to user sentiment, Goat Funded Trader has a solid reputation, with positive reviews highlighting the fast payout times and responsive customer service.

Goat Funded Trader currently has a strong Trustpilot presence, with many recent reviews praising customer support and payouts.

Our Verdict

Goat Funded Trader is one of the more complete prop trading offers on the market right now, especially when it comes to the variety of choices it offers to traders.

This high level of flexibility, along with strong trading platform support and high leverage makes it an attractive offer for both Forex and futures-oriented users.

The drawback is that with so many options the rules and fine details might not be easy to understand, as they differ substantially between models.
